An introduction to my small business... 
Hello there, my name is Sandie and I wanted to say thank you for taking the time to visit my website. is something that I first became involved with fairly recently in 2016. I purchased the business from a lovely girl that had spent 4 years of her life running a business that was fast becoming a monster and taking over far more of her life than she wanted, with two young children fast becoming young adults she wanted to step back and so she sold the business to me.

This business is a small business, and I appreciate you spending your time and money on my website! At the end of your emails and Social Media communications is a person, who really cares about you, what you purchase and the experience you have.  When things go wrong, I’m mortified, but also as a small business I don’t have the muscle to be able shout quite as loud as the bigger businesses and this can often be frustrating. 

Making a difference

I am passionate and a little excitable about making a difference! I personally love to make a difference to others, so I thoroughly enjoy giving gifts sending positive messages and lifting someone’s day.  I love it when you get it right and that doesn’t just mean the gift itself, no it’s about something being in the right place at the right time. A little something for a friend in support to show them ‘you know, you care and you’re thinking of them.’ I love giving for any and every occasion, but those unexpected little items that make someone smile when, not everything in the garden is not as rosey as it should be, are the ones I like the best.

I have also always loved home interiors too, making a house into a home, I love gorgeous items that really make a difference – the finishing touch as it were. From quirky wooden signs to romantic rustic hanging hearts, I love all those finishing touches.

It is also important to have fun and live life to the full wherever possible and I totally believe that we should remind ourselves of that everyday!

Customer service
Customer service is very important to me and I’m always here to help if I can. I aim to answer emails within 1 working day and aim to dispatch parcels within 2 working days at the most (usually sooner), Facebook messenger is also another good place to get in touch.  As I've already mentioned I am mortified when things go wrong, although inevitably they do I will do everything i can to correct the situation as soon as I can.


I’m a bit nuts about recycling, I think our planet is important and I’m a great believer in the old Native American saying “We don’t inherit the earth from our ancestors we borrow it from our children.” So for me to be able to reuse packaging wherever possible is very important. 

If it’s a beautiful gift going off directly  to someone then of course it will be beautifully presented.  But if it’s something coming direct to you, don’t be surprised to see odd shaped packages full of used cardboard etc, to help protect your precious purchase!

Ethical Goods

I’m delighted to say that we are finding it easier every year to source more ethical products that help us to help others.  If I can I will choose the slightly more expensive item that comes from these sources.  Along with items made from sustainable components, without sounding too much like a ‘new age hippy’ ;) once again I believe every little that helps the planet is important to us all.


Whilst I do my best to get things to you in a timely manner, I am at the hands of other businesses that ihearthomes is far too small to influence in anyway.  To say that our complaints and rants don’t make a small scratch let alone a dent in the ego of the likes of the Royal Mail is an understatement. This is the single most vulnerable spot of the business and as long as we only charge a small admin fee of £1.50 to cover the postal cost of £2.70 and customers don’t wish to pay to track items it will continue to be.  So please bear with me, I will do everything I can to ensure you have your items in a timely manner and in good condition.

Once again thank you for taking the time and I hope you can see I have worked hard to find the right suppliers with the right items for ihearthomes. Ordering items that I am happy to give and receive as a gift.  From beautiful wedding decorations and gifts, stunning childrens items, heart touching hanging hearts, gorgeous signs and plaques, lots of fabulous Christmas items and just really pretty little 'bits'.  Take a look around the site and see what takes your fancy.  Don't forget to come back again as new items are constantly coming in.
